Course Description:
This 3-day intensive hands-on course is dedicated to clinicians who want to gain a
comprehensive understanding of the Straumann® iExcel implant system, focusing on both
surgical and prosthetic workflows.

The program presents the complete iExcel portfolio — including BLX, BLC, TLX, and TLC implants
— and explores their indications, biological rationale, and clinical decision-making process in daily
practice. Participants will learn how to select the optimal implant design and connection type based
on anatomical, functional, and esthetic requirements, understanding when to use bone-level
implants (BLX/BLC)
and when tissue-level solutions (TLX/TLC) are preferable. The course
emphasizes clinical application, hands-on experience, and real case discussions, ensuring
practical transfer of knowledge to daily implant practice.
The prosthetic component of the course covers abutment selection, management of healing
abutments, digital and analog impression techniques
, and integration with CAD/CAM and
guided surgery workflows
. A strong focus is placed on provisional and final restorations,
soft-tissue management
, and the prosthetic compatibility of all Straumann implant platforms.
Each participant will work on models and engage in guided exercises to practice
implant placement, abutment selection, and prosthetic assembly using original
Straumann components.
