Sammy Noumbissi DDS MS AFAAID Biography

Dr. Noumbissi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. He pursued advanced training in implant dentistry through the three-year Graduate Program in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University, California, where he was awarded a Certificate in Implant Dentistry and a Master of Science degree in Implant Surgery.

Dr. Noumbissi is the author of multiple book chapters and has published more than sixty scientific and clinical articles in the field of dental implantology, with a particular focus on ceramic implants. In 2009, he became one of the first clinicians in North America to introduce and implement ceramic implant therapy in private practice. Alongside his clinical work, he has remained actively engaged in academia and research, conducting numerous studies on the biological and physiological impact of implant materials on patients.

He currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Milan, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chieti–Pescara, and a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Ceramic Materials at INSA Lyon, France. In 2011, Dr. Noumbissi founded the International Academy of Ceramic Implantology, which he continues to lead, promoting advanced implant education with a strong emphasis on the biological and material sciences underlying implant dentistry. He is a member and Associate Fellow at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and his expertise is widely sought by clinicians, researchers, and implant manufacturers. Dr. Noumbissi maintains a private practice near Washington DC in Silver Spring, Maryland.
