Module II - Bone regeneration in the vertical dimension

Two-day clinical training

Training description:

This training is aimed at intermediate and advanced doctors who have already performed at least several implantation procedures, especially bone regeneration, in their practice. They have already gained experience and performed bone regeneration in the horizontal dimension. The aim of this training is to transfer knowledge in such a way that the trainees can independently perform bone augmentation procedures in a predictable way from the next day. During the training, practical workshops on animal preparations will be held three times. Participants will also be able to see the procedure performed by the lecturer live.

Training objectives:

Ability to independently perform a vertical bone reconstruction procedure.

How to plan the procedure and perform its individual stages so that the reconstruction effect is stable in the long term.

Practical part:

Live treatments or re-live videos of treatments.

Exercises on animal preparations:

1. Performing vertical bone regeneration using a non-resorbable membrane - Cytoplast.

2. Implant placement with simultaneous bone regeneration using a titanium mesh.

3. Strip technique, FLAG technique.

Day 1

10:00 – 11:30 Vertical bone regeneration. Discussion of materials used in vertical bone regeneration.

11:30 – 11:45 – Coffee break.

11:45 – 12:30 - Flap design and soft tissue management during bone regeneration.

12:30 - 14:00 - Workshop. Performing vertical bone regeneration using a non-resorbable membrane - Cytoplast. (independent performance of the procedure on an animal preparation).

14:00 – 15:00 - Lunch break.

15:00 – 16:15 The use of titanium membranes as one of the techniques of vertical bone regeneration.

16:15 – 16:30 – Coffee break.

16:30 – 18:00 Workshop. Implantation with simultaneous bone regeneration using a titanium mesh (independent performance of the procedure on an animal preparation).

Day 2

   9:00 – 9:30 - Presentation of patients for treatments.

   9:30 – 11:30 - Live treatments or VIDEO from vertical bone regeneration treatments.

11:30 – 11:45 - Coffee break.

11:45 – 13:00 – Management of complications after vertical bone regeneration procedures.

13:00 – 14:00 - Lunch.

14:00 – 15:00 – Strip technique, FLAG technique, CTG, FGG as methods of soft tissue reconstruction after vertical bone regeneration.

15:00 – 15:15 - Coffee break.

15:15 – 16:45 - Workshop. Strip technique, FLAG technique. (independent performance of the procedure on an animal preparation).

16:45 – 17:00 - Discussion, case analysis, certificates handing out.
